Experience and Work We Desire

RMI, INC. has accumulated a wealth of experience and desires to execute the following field disciplines on a direct hire basis:

Environmental Remediation

Mechanical failure and human error cost industry hundreds of millions in environmental cleanup every year.  Additionally, every year the costs associated with environmental cleanup continue to escalate as facilities permitted to receive contaminated media increase their fees while other embattled facilities shut down to become cleanup sites themselves.  Today there is a better and more logical alternative - one that is less expensive and that eliminates the short and long-term liability associated with sending contaminated materials over the road to off-site commercial disposal facilities.

As the first to offer this new and unique service, RMI, in conjuntion with Resource Technologies Environmental, LLC (RTE) will provide the personnel, equipment and remediation technology necessary to perform fee-based, on-site cleanup of existing environmental problems.  The RMI/RTE on-site remediation team will also stand ready to perform as an emergency response unit.  Drawing from emergency response supplies stockpiled on-site, this trained unit will be positioned to respond in a timely manner to mitigate the effects of any future release.

Also, at the plant site, RMI/RTE will set up and permit (if necessary) a dedicated treatment facility that will utilize a variety of proprietary and regulatory approved remedial technologies capable of cleaning up contaminated soil or water.  The treatment facility will serve as the base of the RMI/RTE remediation operations where contaminated soil from around the plant will be treated, cleaned up and stockpiled to replace other soils should a future need arise.  Impacted water will be cleaned up and stored for use as process water in the remediation of soils.

For years, the petrochemical industry has operated under the increased scrutiny of regulatory agencies and environmental groups.  The pro-active  RMI/RTE program to clean up existing environmental problems while planning for the future will have far-reaching positive impacts and serve to disarm industry detractors.  RMI/RTE’s capacity to perform all phases of the remediation and emergency response work on site will reduce costs, eliminate liability and underscore the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
